My name is Begin Tharakan Alex, and I was born and raised in a Christian Pentecostal family in Punalur, Kerala, India. I come from a pastor’s family; my father faithfully served the Lord for over 65 years in various parts of Kerala and the Middle East.

I have been blessed to live in the Hillingdon area for the past 17 years, having relocated here from Dubai. Since our arrival, my family and I have been deeply involved in the Wembley Christian Fellowship under the leadership of Pastor Jaise George. During this time, we have faithfully served in various ministries, including Sunday School,
Vacation Bible School (VBS), Street Ministry, Cell Groups (in Uxbridge), and church leadership.

During the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, God impressed upon me a clear vision to plant a ministry in the Uxbridge area. We began by hosting home gatherings and passionately sharing the Gospel through door-to-door evangelism and street outreach. Over the past four years, we have supported the ministry of IPC Watford as much as possible. In November 2023, we started a prayer cell in a rented hall.

By God’s grace, on January 26, 2025, we officially launched a vibrant church near Uxbridge Town Centre, The Great Mission Church. We have witnessed many new believers from diverse religious backgrounds come to faith. We remain committed to praying for their spiritual growth, baptism, and discipleship. In May 2025, I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Theology and was honoured to receive ordination recognition from IPC. I am humbled and grateful for the opportunity to serve the community of Staines and the surrounding areas, having accepted an invitation from Pastor Jacob George to minister in this region.

I am privileged to be the husband of Susan and a proud father to two wonderful children, Faith and Alexander, who actively support and participate in the ministry.
