The Church
We believe that the Church is the body of CHRIST, made up of all believers in heaven and on earth who have been born again by the Holy Spirit and united to JESUS through faith. This universal Church includes every person who has truly trusted in CHRIST for salvation.
The Church finds its visible expression in local congregations or communities of believers who gather regularly to worship GOD, hear His Word, pray, serve, and grow together in faith. A true local church is marked by the faithful preaching of the Bible, the practice of baptism by immersion and partaking in Holy communion, and loving accountability among its members.
As Pentecostal believers, we affirm that the Church is empowered by the Holy Spirit to continue the mission of JESUS in the world including sharing the Gospel, making disciples, and demonstrating GOD’s love through spiritual gifts, service, and unity.
Relevant biblical references: Ephesians 1:22–23, Ephesians 1:22–23.
The Mission of the Church
We believe that JESUS CHRIST has given His Church a clear and powerful mission: to go into all the world and make disciples of all nations, through the power of the Holy Spirit. This mission includes evangelizing, encouraging, and edifying all for the glory of GOD and the growth of His Kingdom.
Evangelize- Sharing the Good News
We are commanded by JESUS to go and make disciples of all nations, sharing the good news of salvation through JESUS CHRIST and calling them to repentance and faith. This includes baptising believers by immersion and teaching them to obey everything JESUS has commanded. This mission is carried out in the power of the Holy Spirit, who equips and empowers the Church to continue the work of JESUS until He returns.
Relevant Biblical reference: Matthew 28:18–20
Encourage – – Motivating Faith in CHRIST
We believe that we are called to motivate faith in CHRIST by proclaiming the Gospel with boldness and compassion, urging people to turn to GOD in repentance and believe in the Lord JESUS.
Relevant biblical references: Acts 20:20–21
Edify- Growing in Christ like Maturity
We aim to build up the Church by helping every believer grow in spiritual maturity, through teaching, discipleship, and the work of the Holy Spirit, we seek to present each person complete in CHRIST.
Relevant Biblical reference: Colossians 1:28
Baptism by Immersion in Water
We believe that all who have truly repented of their sins and placed their faith in JESUS CHRIST as Lord and Saviour are commanded to be baptized in water. This baptism is by full immersion in water, symbolizing the believer’s identification with CHRIST in His death, burial, and resurrection.
Water baptism is a public declaration of faith and obedience it does not save, but it powerfully expresses the inward transformation that has already taken place through the Holy Spirit.
We do not baptize infants, as baptism is reserved for those who can personally respond to the Gospel in repentance and faith.
Relevant Biblical References: Matthew 28:19 Acts 2:38 , Romans 6:4 .
Baptism in the Holy Spirit
We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit as a distinct and empowering experience for every believer, following salvation. This baptism equips the believer with spiritual power for effective witness, service, and holy living.
The baptism in the Holy Spirit is often accompanied by spiritual gifts, including speaking in tongues, as seen throughout the book of Acts. It is not a requirement for salvation, but it is a vital part of the Spirit-filled life and ministry.
Relevant Biblical References: Acts 1:8, Acts 2:4, Luke 24:49.
