I am Pastor Begin Tharakan Alex, born and raised in a respected Syrian-Christian Pentecostal family in Punalur, Kerala. Coming from a strong pastoral heritage, with my father serving the Lord faithfully for more than 65 years across Kerala and the Middle East, I am grateful for the spiritual foundation that has shaped my calling and ministry.

For the past 17 years, I have made my home in the Hillingdon area after relocating from Dubai. During this time, my family and I were blessed to be part of Wembley Christian Fellowship under the leadership of Pastor Jaise George, where we served joyfully in various ministries, including Sunday School, VBS, Street Ministry, Uxbridge Cell Groups, and church leadership.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Lord placed a clear vision on my heart to begin a ministry in the Uxbridge region. What started as home gatherings, prayer, and personal outreach through door-to-door evangelism and street ministry gradually grew into a meaningful work. In November 2023, we began a prayer cell in a rented hall, continuing to support IPC Watford during this season.

By God’s grace, on January 26, 2025, we officially launched The Great Mission Church near Uxbridge Town Centre. It has been a joy to witness new believers coming to faith and to walk with them through teaching, prayer, baptism, and discipleship.

In May 2025, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Theology, and later that year, received ordination recognition from IPC. In June 2025, I accepted an invitation from Pastor Jacob George to minister in Staines and the surrounding areas, and I count it a privilege to serve these communities.

I am blessed to share this journey with my wife, Susan, and our children, Faith and Alexander, who actively support and participate in the ministry.
